Tara outdid herself with this list of Top 10 Lesbian Celebrity Romances. I mean who doesn’t love a great romance between someone who is famous and someone who is not? – Sheena
It’s no secret that I love a good romance, but if you tell me a romance features a celebrity? That’s an instabuy for me. Doesn’t matter if it’s about an actress, musician, or author. Have them fall in love and that’s all I want to read.
With so many out there, how’s a reader to choose? Here’s a list with some of my favourites, and a couple from my fellow reviewers.

Actress Caidence Harris is living her dreams after landing a leading role among the star-studded, veteran cast of 9th Precinct, a hot new police drama shot on location in glitzy LA. Soon Caid sees that all is not as it appears, but can she take a chance and risk her heart when the outcome is so uncertain?
Tara’s Note
This book is many a lesfic reader’s favourite for good reason. Great characters, good pacing, and a satisfyingly happy ending—it’s all right here. This also holds a dear place in my heart because it’s the first lesbian romance I ever read. If you haven’t read it, you must.

2 Starstruck by Lesley Davis
Published by Bold Strokes Books
Celebrity Type: Actress and Author
What It’s About
Actress Cassidy “C.J.” Hayes is famous for her role in The Alchemidens, a fantasy show where she plays a kick-ass heroine. Her rising success has brought her quickly under Hollywood’s glaring spotlight. It also gained her the unwelcome attentions of an obsessive fan who wants more than just an autograph.
Aiden Darrow is both a well-respected screenwriter and a writer of lesbian romances. As a big fan of actress C.J. Hayes, Aiden is astounded when the woman of her dreams ends up moving into the house next door to her. Their attraction is undeniable, but Cassidy is understandably nervous about getting too close to anyone. Aiden, meanwhile, is trying to separate reality from fiction because Cassidy is nothing like the character she portrays so well. All through her childhood, Aiden dreamed of a hero to come rescue her, but can she be the hero that Cassidy so desperately needs now?
Tara’s Note
An author/screenwriter falling in love with her celebrity crush? Sign me up. This romance manages to stay fun and sweet despite a sometimes scary side plot with a stalker.

3 The Song in My Heart by Tracey Richardson
Published by Bella Books

What It’s About
Fame and money rained down on Dess Hampton like a monsoon. She couldn’t imagine needing more—until her golden voice was silenced. Now her quiet days are filled with her guitar and she savors every sunrise. Curious, and as a favor to a friend, she emerges to hear a rumored superstar in the making.
Music pours out of Erika Alvarez through her voice and her fingertips. She’s awed that the reclusive Dess Hampton wants to hear her sing, and then blown away when Dess agrees to sit in for a few gigs.
Dess can tell that Erika is destined for the life that she once had and wants no part of, ever again. But can the magic of the music they make together, and the growing love between them, trump Erika’s ambition and Dess’s fears? How much are they willing to sacrifice for it—and for each other?
Tara’s Note
Confession time: I haven’t read this yet. But Sheena loved it, and that’s why it’s on the list. With a story featuring an up and coming musical superstar falling in love with a reclusive former superstar, you’re all lucky I’m going to finish this list instead of quitting here to read it right now.

4 Damage Control by Jae
Published by Ylva Verlag e.Kfr.
Celebrity Type: Actress
What It’s About
An actress practically since birth, Grace Durand has finally made it in Hollywood. When a photo of her in a seeming compromising situation with another woman is plastered all over the tabloids, she fears for her career as a lead in romantic movies. Desperate for a publicist who’ll convince America that she’s straight, Grace hires Lauren Pearce, one of Hollywood’s leading PR agents, not knowing that she’s a lesbian.
Lauren has dealt with PR nightmares for years, so doing damage control for one more rich, spoiled client shouldn’t be a problem—or so she thinks. But the more time she spends with Grace, the more she realizes how different she is from her television persona.
Getting involved with her client is not in her game plan, especially since it would confirm the rumors and ruin Grace’s career, but the attraction between them is growing as they run the gauntlet of the paparazzi together.
Tara’s Note
Any of the books in Jae’s Hollywood Series could be on this list, but I chose Damage Control because it directly addresses what it’s like to be a celebrity. I love it so much that it’s also in the Top 10 Lesbian Books of 2015.
Yeah, I think if I let her, Tara would put this one on every Top 10 list and make it mandatory to read it – Sheena

Tara’s Note
This is one book that Sheena and I definitely agree on. What’s not to love about a famous movie star with a secret life as a Pulitzer winning author, and the literature professor who comes to love her?

Tara’s Note
I talk so much about lesfic that you probably don’t know I also love cooking shows. So how could I possibly resist a premise with the host of a popular cooking show pursuing a novelist? I couldn’t, and neither should you.

8 Roller Coaster by Karin Kallmaker
Published by Bella Books
Celebrity Type: Actress
What It’s About
Two very different reasons brought Laura Izmani and Helen Baynor to the Beach Boardwalk for a symbolic ride on the biggest wooden roller coaster on the west coast. They part strangers, but only after sharing an experience that shifted both of their lives onto new tracks.
Their paths cross again decades later when Laura interviews with Helen to become the private chef for the Baynor household. Given what Laura revealed during that fateful coaster ride, she’s relieved that Helen seems to have forgotten her.
Fiercely protective of her children, Helen—now a famous stage actress and widow with teenaged twins—divides her time between home in a sleepy California enclave and the bright lights of Broadway. Continuing her carefully managed life until her children leave for college is all she wants.
Their first roller coaster ride together may turn out to be only a prelude…
Tara’s Note
Roller Coaster is not your typical romance, and I found myself wrong every time I tried to predict a story turn. It features a Broadway star and her self-discovery as she figures out she’s a lesbian, and is one of the best books I’ve read so far in 2016.

9 Bunny Finds a Friend by Hazel Yeats
Published by Ylva Publishing
Celebrity Type: Author
What It’s About
It’s close to Christmas in Amsterdam, and Cara Jong isn’t having the best of days. Her girlfriend has left her, and her new job isn’t nearly as glamorous as she hoped it would be. A run-in with Jude Donovan, who’s playing Santa Claus in a department store, does little to lift her spirits, even though there’s clearly an appealing woman hidden beneath Santa’s beard.
When Cara finds out that Jude is actually a well-known author of children’s books, she’s intrigued and decides to attend Jude’s reading. A bizarre misunderstanding breaks the ice between them, and they share a heated kiss that same night.
As the weeks go by, they begin to fall in love and hope to leave past experiences behind. But Cara doesn’t trust her luck in love and soon breaks things off, leaving Jude baffled and broken-hearted.
Can Cara’s meddling sisters and a hilarious road trip convince Cara to go after her happily-ever-after with the writer?
Tara’s Note
Is it cheating to include a book that has a romance but doesn’t really feel like a romance? It’s my list and I’m including it anyway. I love that Bunny Finds a Friend has a children’s author so popular that small children will rampage at the chance to hear her read. It’s a quirky little gem of a book, and I’m so glad I read it.

Tara’s Note
The character work is so strong in this book that it keeps drawing me back again and again. The shift from actor wanting a role vs producer to friends to lovers is done so well that it’s earned Course of Action a permanent spot on my “to re-read” list.

BUT WAIT! It wouldn’t be a top 10 list on The Lesbian Review if we didn’t have a bonus book!
Bonus: The Muse by Meghan O’Brien
Published by Bold Strokes Books
Celebrity Type: Author
What It’s About
Erotica author Kate McMannis has crippling writer’s block and a deadline in less than two months. When a beautiful woman named Erato appears at her house and claims to be her muse, Kate isn’t certain whether Erato is mentally ill or truly her supernatural savior. Either way, when the incredible sex Erato offers leads to genuine inspiration, Kate isn’t inclined to refuse her unusual brand of help.
When a little fantasy fulfillment with Erato inadvertently leads her to the shy and gorgeous Olive Johnson, unexpected feelings threaten to derail Kate’s motivation once again. Erato is just as determined to keep her writing on track as Kate is to explore her very real attraction to Olive—which leads to friction that threatens not only Kate’s ability to meet her deadline, but also her burgeoning romance with Olive.
Caught between a contractual obligation and her heart, is there any way for Kate to have it all?
Tara’s Note
I was a proofreader for The Muse and loved it so much that I couldn’t not include it on this list. I mean, an erotic romance novelist falling in love, hot sex scenes, and big feelings all over the place? Lise MacTague and I agree that this book is great and everyone should run out and read it.
