Ria is a young, troubled Latina living in Miami with her girlfriend. Leading a very unconventional lifestyle,
she starts to feel that there is more to life than what she sees. After a near death experience, Ria has a dream of
an angelic creature that loves her like no one ever has before, thus giving her the courage she needs to start
over once again.
After moving back to Puerto Rico, she finds herself at the same bar every weekend, trying to erase to
scars that remain as reminders of where she came from. Rosie, the bartender that has witnessed her weekly
routine, night after night, invites her to play soccer with her and her team. After hanging out a few times, Ria
starts to feel something for her, but it is quickly replaced with guilt since she promised herself that she would
wait for the girl from her dream.
As sparks begin to fly between the two girls, one catches fire, and Ria loses it. All the years of pain and
confusion come crashing down between them, turning a beautiful thing into an ugly one. Ria leaves Rosie and
returns to Miami in search of closure from her past. What she finds is way more than she expected, and she
ends up staying there once again.
Months later, when she is healed and ready, she finally meets the girl from her dream.
